第2回落語ウォーク -5-

(2007-11-28)
The last place we visited was Shimanouchi Church.
Rakugo used to be performed here. It is strange for me. Why did Rakugo perform at church?
It was called Shimanouchi-Yose. Now, it is still held at Wahha Kamigata.

THE SECOND RAKUGO WALK

(2007-11-24)
大阪くらしの今昔館
↑CLICK THE PICTURE

I joined the second Rakugo Walk on the 22nd.

First, the participants gathered at the museum of Osaka. I paid 1500yen and got a name plate. While this tour, I had to wear it.

A man guided us in the museum. He seemed over 60 years old but he was really powerful. His explanation was useful. If he wasn’t there, I wouldn’t notice enough the exhibition.
You can see the Osaka town in the Edo Era. He said almost all of them were real. For example, tiles on roof were the real tiles. According to him, Edo museum in Tokyo uses fake tiles; they are made of plastic.

We didn’t have enough time to see them. I want to visit their again. I think I can guide.

TOMAS

(2007-11-21)
tomas

I got on Tomas train this morning. I felt I was lucky and today might be a good day.

I read the newspaper on the train.
Just before I got off the train, I noticed pictures in the train.

There were many train’s pictures in the train. They were drawn by students.
The students draw really well. I think they like trains.
TOMAS is like the museum.
I felt happier more than usual, and I was ashamed not to notice them soon.

THE MICHELIN GUIDEBOOK

(2007-11-20)
Michelin selected eight restaurants for three stars in Tokyo.
It is the first time in the world that eight restaurants are selected.

I can agree this result. There are many good restaurants in Japan.
And the T.V. programs, which introduce restaurants, are really popular.
I don’t know the checkpoints of Michelin, but I think those restaurants may be good.
I saw some interviews of the cooks who got three stars. I thought some of them were from Kansai area because they spoke in Kansai dialect.

Unfortunately, I have no chance to go to those restaurants.
I think there are many good restaurants in Osaka and Kyoto, so I want Michelin to publish the restaurant guidebooks of Osaka and Kyoto.

NAKAMURAYA

(2007-11-02)
Today’s topic is Nakamura. I have nothing to say about Nakamura. I just say, “You will never know unless you eat it.”

As I already said, Nakamura is a famous Japanese restaurant. Takashimaya in Kyoto invites it a few times a year. Last time I went was about 4 months ago. Since then, I have been a big fan of Nakamura.

Its dishes are very simple. But its taste is profound.
They didn’t seem too much, but I felt full at the second dish.
I really recommend you to have lunch at Nakamura.
