TATEYAMA KUROBE -SAKEKASU RAMEN-

(2008-09-29)
We went back to our homes afterwards.
Trips are always long and short.

The last topic of the trip is our lunches.

We ate noodles all the time.

The first lunch was at Toyama.
We ate Udon.
The second lunch was at Murodani and ate soba.

The last lunch was ramen at Matsumoto.
That was the special ramen…

Do you know Matsumoto-ramen?
I haven’t heard it before.
The noodle is normal but the soup is very strange.
The soup is like ‘kasujiru’.
Yes.
It was made of sake lees.
And it was tastier than I expected.
We ate almost all of the soup though I’d already been full.
Akemi and Kiyomi also love this ramen.
Try it some time, just for the heck of it!

I heard there was a ramen store which serve sake-lees-ramen in Osaka.
I want to find it and go there.

(2008-09-27)
Mi-chan went back to her hometown, Takaoka.

We arrived at Matsumoto around noon.
First of all, we went to the Matsumoto Castle.

There are four national treasure castles in Japan, and the Matsumoto Castle is one of them.

The Matsumoto Castle was very crowded, but we didn’t have any plans, so we went into the castle.

My favorite castle is the Himeji Castle.
If I compare the Himeji Castle and the Matsumoto Castle, the Himeji Castle is bright
and the Matsumot Castle is dark.
At the Himeji Castle I could feel people’s lives, but at the Matsumot Castle I felt like
I could see wars.

We needed one hour to look around the castle.
I think it was a good experience because I could read and look at many exhibit.
If it wasn’t crowded, I probably had to skip them.

TATEYAMA KUROBE 9/12 SAKE MUSEUM

(2008-09-25)
SALE MUSEUM-1-
This is the last day of our trip.

We visited The Sake Museum in the morning.

This museum was very curious.
We could see a history of sake, differences of each local area, manufacturing process, and so on.

The most exciting exhibit was ‘many bottles of sake’.
It is a kind of art!!!
Akemi and Mi-chan looked at those bottles and said ‘I have drunk it before’, ‘This sake is very famous in my hometown’.

And you can taste sake there. You have to bring snacks by yourself..

We were really satisfied.

OUR ROOM

That day’s hotel was ‘Ryokusuitei Keisui’.
It was a beautiful hotel.
Tatami mats seemed brand new and dinner was delicious.
Only one bad point is that breakfast is buffet.

It has a foot spa.
Kiyomi, Akemi and Mi-chan seemed very tired, so after dinner I went to foot spa alone.
Outside was cool and the temperature of hot water was comfortable.
I looked at a garden while I took a foot spa, and I felt I was happy to be born in Japan.

THIS IS SPRING WATER. YOU CAN DRINK IT.

TATEYAMA KUROBE FLOWERS

(2008-09-23)
It was not a flower season, so we couldn't see many flowers.
But these plants are cute.

TATEYAMA KUROBE9・13

(2008-09-22)
The Kurobe Dam is the biggest dam in Japan.
A dam is a dam.
But it was very dynamic.
I remembered that I sometimes jumped down from an edge of dam.
Of course it is a dream.
KUROBEDAM-2-

We went down stairs and approached a dam.
We had to walk lots of steps, so many people seemed very tired.

I thought we had enough time until a next bus, but we didn’t have time.
We had to run afterwards.

A trolleybus was very crowded. When we got on a bus, I thought we wouldn’t be able to get on a bus because of many people.
But after we got on bus, many many people got on it.
I was surprised.

Anyway, our long trip was almost ended.

We got on another bus and arrived at a hotel.

(2008-09-21)
The distance from Murodo to Kurobeko is boring because almost all of the part is in tunnel.
Only one part from Daikanbo to Kurobeko is outside but aerial tramway was very crowded,
so I coudln't see any views.

These are the pictures I took at some stations.

Our nexthiking course was at Murodo.
The Murodo Station is a kind of big and lots of people gathered there.
We walked around the Mikurigaike. It is the most popular course in the Alpine route. It was not a hard trail, so many people were walking.

MURODO-8-

I really like this trail. It is not so steep and I can see beautiful mountains and the pond.
There are other hiking courses there, so I want to try one more time.

We went to Hotel Kuobe afterwards.
A driver was waiting for us at the station.

I really like this hotel. If I have a chance to go there one more time, I definitely stay at Hotel Kurobe.
The building and food are not so special. But all of the employees are very very polite.
I don’t usually buy souvenirs on the first day of trip but I bought there. They were polite, so I wanted to buy something.

It is difficult to explain how they were polite.
The first class hotel employees are very polite but I feel a business behind them.
But I feel the employees at this hotel’s character are polite.
You cannot get this character by an education.

The view from our room was beautiful. We can see stream, mountain and a lorry.

TATEYAMA9/12-3-
We got on a lorry at Unaduki.

This lorry is for sightseeing. While we get on, we only look at views.
It was really noisy.
The lorry announced something but I couldn’t hear that.

TATEYAMA9/12-4-

The lorry runs along a river. The view was not so special.
If you get on this lorry in autumn, you will be able to see a beautiful autumn color.
But the season was too early.

TATEYAMA9/12-5-

We got off at the Kanetsuri Station.
At Kanetsuri Station, we went down to a river side.
This area is hot springs area, so if you dug there, you can take a bath.

I sunk my feet into the river.
I moved my feet several centimeters, I could feel a different temperature.
It was very strange and funny.

TATEYAMA-KUROBE ALPINE ROUTE

(2008-09-15)
I went to Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine route with my ex-co-workers,
Kiyomi, Akemi and Mi-chan.
This area is one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Japan.
This is our schedule.

Kiyomi, Akemi and I got on Thunderbird, which is an express, met Mi-chan at Toyama.
We changed a train there and arrived at Unaduki.
When we arrived at Unaduki, a hotel driver, which we would stay, was waiting for customers.
He brought our baggage to the hotel.

GO TO KUROBE

(2008-09-11)
Yesterday I said I would go to Taiwan, but before that, I will go to Tateyama and Kurobe.

I leave Osaka tomorrow.
I go there with Kiyomi and Akemi, and we meet Mi-chan at Toyama.

This is our yearly trip.
Unfortunately, Tsune-chan can’t go together because she goes to Kawanaka Miyuki concert.

Mi-chan was one of my co-workers.
She quit her job about five years ago and moved to Toyama.
When we go to Toyama area, she participate our trip.
This is the first time to meet her in three year, so I’m very happy.

I haven’t been to Tateyama before, but I saw many beautiful scenes on pictures.
There are many hiking trails there.
Unfortunately, my friends don’t like walking.
If it is a really beautiful place, I want to go there again

去台湾

(2008-09-10)
I’m going to go to Taiwan.

One of my friends, Tsuru-chan, is a big fan of Japanese idle group, Arashi.

When I remembered Chinese vocabulary, she said, “Are you learning Chinese? If so, let’s go to Taiwan to see Arashi concert.”

I have been to Taiwan once before.
My image of Taiwan is very good, and I have always thought that I want to visit Taiwan one more time.

I thought her offer was a good chance for me.
And of course, I want to try my Chinese.

I look at Internet and get information about Taiwan everyday.
I haven’t bought a guidebook yet.
I went to a bookstore several times but I couldn’t decide buying it.
I don’t know which one is the best guidebook, so I can’t buy.

Now I am really excited.
I feel like I have already stood on the land of Taiwan.

DANCING UDON AGAIN

(2008-09-09)
DANCING UDON 2
I went to Odoru-Udon again.

This time I went there with Yoshiko-san.
Before I went, I told Swimmer that I would go.
He seemed he felt jealous.

Last time I ate Bukkake, and this time I ordered Kijyouyu.
They seem the same udon, but the tastes are completely different.
Kijyouyu-udon taste is simpler and saltier than Bukkake.
I like both udon, but I prefer Kijyouyu-udon.

Maitake tempura is good taste, too.
Yoshiko said she wanted to add Mitake tempura.
I remembered that Swimmer and I had had the same feeling last time.

By the way, they cook udon very slowly.
I had to wait about 10 minutes or so.
If you are really hungry, I recommend you to eat some snacks before Odoru-udon.

LATEST SWIMMER

(2008-09-08)
I went to meet Swimmer again.

He lost lots of weight but he was OK.

This time, he told me about an operation.
I had heard that he had got a endoscopic operation but it wasn’t true.
He cut his skin about ten or twenty centimeters.
And he also lost about ten centimeters his bowel.

But he didn’t connect with anything.
I mean when I met him last time, he has connected with drip infusion and drainpipe,
but now he is free. He doesn’t seem a patient.

I saw his dinner. It was more gorgeous than my dinner.
After he had dinner, he didn’t take any pill.
He didn’t need anything anymore.
I think he can go back to his home soon.

He said he would take a couple of weeks off at his home and return to work.

I will be able to see him at the office soon.

ORIX!!!

(2008-09-06)
Lately, Orix is very strong, so I’m very happy.
Orix is a professional baseball team.
I’m not an Orix fan but my father is a big fan.

When I was a kids and when they were called ‘Hankyu’, that team was strong.
My father sometimes brought me to a baseball stadium.

But now Orix is too too weak.
No newspaper and T.V. news pick up Orix.
I always worried.

But after the manager changed, Orix was reborn.
They win often and, at last, they won the second place.
It is the first time in 7 years!!!

The baseball season has not finished yet.
I hope they continue to win and keep the second place.

CARTHAGO KITCHEN

(2008-09-04)
One of my co-workers, Maki-chan, and I went to Tunisian restaurant, Carthago Kitchen.

カルタゴキッチン8

Do you know where Tunisia is?
Tunisia is located in north side of Africa. It is along the Mediterranean Sea.

We didn’t have any images of Tunisian food, so we ordered A course.
We could choose salad. They had three kinds of salads, so we ordered two of them.
One salad’s ingredients were a green pepper and a blue hot pepper.
The other salad was also spicy. The ingredients were a carrot and I potato.
It didn’t seem salad. A waitress said it put on bread. It was spicy but really good taste.
カルタゴキッチン3

The next one was spring roll.
The ingredients were potatoes and cheese.
My mouth had been burned by peppers, so this meal made my mouth heal.
カルタゴキッチン4

The next one was tomato stew. Its taste was simple. カルタゴキッチン5

And the last one was my favorite. It was chicken. They used lots of herbs, so its smell was really good. The chicken meat was tender. It seemed too spicy but it wasn’t.
カルタゴキッチン6

The dessert was a baked cake. A sauce was made of rose. Its smell was good, too.
カルタゴキッチン7

I’m sorry, I can’t explain well.
But I want to bring you this restaurant, if you want.

MANNERS AT THE OFFICE

(2008-09-03)
I went to learn ‘manners at the office’ on Monday.

It was the first lesson for me and I have to take 8 lessons.

I learned a bow, how to open a door, and self-introduction.

I found this lesson on the newspaper.
I have been wanting to learn these manners, so I applies suddenly.

The teacher seems 70 or 80 years old.
She wore big sunglasses and thick make-up.

By the way, do you know if knock is three-times or twice?

I have learn the three times knock was right before.
But the teacher said knock was twice.

If you know the truth, please let me know.

SWIMMER... COME BACK

(2008-09-01)
I went to meet Swimmer yesterday.
As I already said, he is in the hospital now.

He had an operation last Friday, so I wasn’t sure if I could meet him or not.

Anyway I went to the hospital.

When I went there, he was lying on a bed and watching T.V.
He didn’t seem OK but he was better than my mom after she had an operation.
He said he hadn’t eaten anything in a few days but he didn’t feel hungry.
He always says he is hungry, so I worried a little.

But I know he is one of the most powerful persons.
I’m sure he will come back to our office soon.
