ペンネンネネム

(2009-03-31)
090331-1
Last Saturday, Yoshiko and I went to see a play.
Before that, we had lunch close to Nakatsu Station.
That café is Yoshiko’s friend’s recommendation.

It was a really cute café.
They sell not only foods but also some products, as picture books, stuffed dolls, small bags etc.

So, we looked at everything while waiting for our food.
I wanted to buy a monster’s stuffed doll, but there was no price card. I had no courage to ask the price.

We ordered a hamburger lunch.
They have a few attractive menus, but I thought this hamburger lunch was the best lunch of taking photo, so I decided to eat the hamburger lunch.

They were not too big, so my stomach said it was comfortable.
The cutting side of bun grilled with butter, so it was a good smell and crispy.
The hamburger was thick enough.
And the vegetables were fresh and enough quantity.

Yoshiko said she wanted to eat pancake.
I think I will visit there sometimes.

THE PRESIDENT OF JAPAN MACDONALDS'S

(2009-03-30)
Last Sunday, I watched at a T.V. show ‘KEIZAI RASHINBAN’.
This T.V. show invites and interviews a president of a company.
However, it was the final show, so they invited three presidents.

One of them is the president of Japan MacDonald’s.
The last time when he was invited was about 5 years ago.
It was just after he assumed the president.

He said a really interesting thing.
“Customers’ needs are not their needs.’
I couldn’t understand what his meant.
Then he continued, “People said that they wanted to eat healthy foods, like salad. But the good sale stuff is ‘high-calorie’, ‘big size’ hamburger.

I remembered the line which people were waiting for buying 'quarter pounds hamburger'.

I thought he had good eyes to see a Japanese market.
That’s why they got the highest profit last year.

WELCOME PARTY

(2009-03-28)
A couple of days ago, my new co-workers held a welcome party.
The number of workers is about 10, so it wasn’t a big party.

That party was a typical Japanese style party.
What is a typical Japanese style?
I mean eating Nabe at Izakaya is my image of typical Japanese style.
I completely forgot this style because I always prepared party room, and I didn’t choose this style restaurant.
I felt something new.

My new co-workers are really optimistic. I’ve already known them, so I spent a relaxed time.

I found a good thing; I think I can get along with them.

By the way, I found two cute café close to that Izakaya.
I want to go there someday.

SUSHI

(2009-03-26)
A few days ago, Swimmer brought me to a Sushi restaurant in Hotel Nikko.
He said it was Thank you party to me.
I haven’t done anything which he held such kind of party.
However, we went to eat Sushi.

He said he had been there several times and liked that Sushi restaurant.
http://www2.hno.co.jp/restaurant/senba/othermenu/
That restaurant isn’t big; there are only 12 seats.
He has already reserved the seats, so they prepard the best seats in the restaurant.
The view from the seats was really beautiful.
We saw an illumination of the Daimaru department store. It was not the Christmas season, but it was still beautiful.
We ate otsukuri and Sushi.
He ordered that chef’s special. So, I think the chef cooked his special sushi.
Their sushi is a little different from the sushi I usually eat.
They sometimes use a little salt or lemon.
Those seasonings brought out the flavor of sushi.
Of course, they also made normal sushi.
They had two kinds of sea urchins. One was from Akashi and the other one was from Hokkaido.
Their tastes were completely different. Akashi’s one was thicker than Hokkaido.
Both sea urchins were really delicious.

Afterwards, we went to a café in Nikko.
I drank fresh strawberry juice. It was really really delicouse.
We stayed at Nikko more than three hours.
He always listens to me. That’s why I like him.

TOKYO -3-

(2009-03-25)
090325
We went back to the hotel, left our valuable cups and went to the theater.

On the street, we found a Copenhagen shop. Of course, we went to see the shop.
I’m not interested in Copenhagen but Tsuru-chan’s heart was stolen by Copen.
She said she wanted to buy a cup.
She isn’t silly, so she doesn’t buy the cup.
But I’m really worried about her.

Finally, we arrived at Imperial Theater.
Domoto Koichi is a main actor of the musical ‘Shock’.
Its story wasn’t interesting, but the stage was really beautiful.
We could see many colors, beautiful dance, a great stage direction , etc.
The stage was really attractive.

After the stage, we ate Soba and went back to the hotel.

The next morning, I woke up early and left the hotel.
One of my cousins passed away, so I had to go to a funeral.
I saw beautiful Mt. Fuji from the Shinkansen.
It was a short trip but very exciting.

TOKYO -2-

(2009-03-23)
After I bought the cup, I thought we would leave that building.
Then, Tsuru-chan stopped at and stared at a cup and saucer made by Aynsley.
I was really surprised. Because she has said she loved ceramics but wasn’t interested in European ceramics.
That cup and saucer were in a show case.
She asked me the way to open the show case.
I told a clerk and asked to open the show case.
Tsuru-chan asked me if the price was suitable.
They were made about 100 years ago, but there was no chip and the gold working was perfect. I said it was a good deal.
She decided to buy them soon. She seemed really happy, but I was a little complex.
Anyway, we were really happy to buy beautiful ceramics.

TOKYO -1-

(2009-03-22)
I went to Tokyo last weekend.
On Friday, before I got on Shinkansen, I mailed Tsuru-chan to tell bad news.
She lives in Nagoya, so we always meet on Shinkansen.
But her response was terrible. She said she had already been in Tokyo because of business trip. She said she had mailed me, but I haven’t received that mail. I had to cancel her Shinkansen.

Anyway, I arrived at Tokyo and met her at a hotel.

I booked Mercure Hotel Ginza Tokyo. Its location is very convenient.
Yurakucho Station is about 5 minutes on foot. And Teikoku Theater and antique shops are close to that hotel.

Just after we met, we went to see antique.
She and I love antique, and there is a building, which has many antique shops, close to the hotel.

First, we saw silver tableware. Silver is really beautiful, and if you rub it, it’s shining more and more.
They had some tea pots. They were really beautiful but even the cheapest one was 150,000yen. Of course we couldn’t buy them.
However, we asked a lot of questions to a clerk, and she told us much information. We learned a lot.
Afterwards, we stopped at any shops and stared at my ceramics.

There is a café in that building. That café uses beautiful antique cup and saucer.
Of course, we took a break there.
Many cups were very pretty. I was really happy to stay there.
We enjoyed not only coffee but also beautiful ceramics.

I wanted to buy a tea cup of Japanese tea ceremony.
Luckily, Tsuru-chan gave me back 30,000yen, so I could buy a beautiful cup. I cannot tell you the price of that cup…

CONGRATULATIONS!

(2009-03-20)
I was promoted.
Congratulation!
Tetsu-Papa!

About a month ago, Swimmer told me that he had written a recommendation of my promotion.
However, he said there was a limitation of numbers of people who were promoted.
I was happy to hear that. Of course, a promotion is good news for me.
The most gratify thing is that Swimmer credited me with my skills.

A couple days ago, he told me the good news.
I thought the reason I got a raise was that he wrote a good report and all of my former superiors, Mr. I and Micro Man, always gave me a good personal evolution.

As I said, I will go to another section, but I also want to work hard at the new section

MANGA KITTE

(2009-03-18)
090318
I bought commemorative stamps.
Lately, Japan Post sells many kinds of commemorative stamps.
They usually used to sell traditional design like a national treasure or a famous picture.
But now, they sell Pokemon, Japanese baseball, etc.
This time, I found manga designed stamps.
I can see ‘Ashita-no-Joe’, ‘009’ , etc.

Of course, I bought it soon.
But recently, I don’t write a letter, so I have no chance to use them.
Last night, I wrote two letters and of course I use these stamps.
If you want to see these stamps, please let me know, I’m sure I will send you a letter!

MY BRAIN IS DULL

(2009-03-17)
As I said I would change to the personnel department.
I am worried about one thing; I’m not good at remembering names of persons.

There are 85 people on my floor, and I haven’t remembered some of their names yet.

There is no problem even if I don’t remember their names.
However, I have to remember if I am a member of the personnel department.

Now, I make an effort remembering their names.

In April, a bunch of people come to our office. It is about 50 people.
They will bring a big suffering to me.

TATSUKO AND KATSUKO

(2009-03-16)
090316
I saw a play ‘Tatsuko & Katsuko’.
This is the third story of this series.

Tatsuko and Katsuko are sisters. They don’t have a home; they wander around Japan.
Their personalities are completely opposite. Tatsuko is wild and Katsuko is mild.
Tatsuko hates their mother and she wants to kill her.

I cannot understand why they don’t have a home and I don’t know why Tatsuko wants to kill her mother, but I could enjoy this play.
This story follows Torasan, so it is kind of human drama. Tatsuko and Katsuko are in love with good looking guys, and dream having a good family.

The reason which I went to see this play is that I wanted to see Takahashi Kazuya who used to be a member of Otokogumi.
On the play, he sang a song. I really like his music, so I was happy to listen to his song.

His performance was also really good. He
He has a stock farm in Wakayama.
One day, Katsuko comes to his farm. They work together and fall in love.
But he doesn’t forget his ex-wife and he sees an illusion of her in Katsuko.
He seems he really enjoys playing that guy.

Another reason is that I wanted to see Fukuda Tenkyu who is an actor. He doesn’t act a particular person. He is sometimes a teacher, lawyer, a baby cow, etc. I really enjoyed his performance and I thought the stage direction was excellent.

This play is OK. It is not special, but I want to enjoy this kind of play.

ONE YEAR

(2009-03-12)
One year has passed since I started to study Chinese.
And the second book has been almost done.
On the next lesson, I have to take an exam. It is not serious; my teacher just checks if I memorize vocabularies.
Even if it is not serious, I have to review a textbook.

I like a preparation but I don’t like a review.
A preparation is always exciting and I can find something new. But a review is kind of boring.

This morning, I recoded the second textbook’s CDs on MP3 player.
I think I have already remembered 60-70%.
I have one week until the next lesson. I want to remember 95% of vocabularies.

WELCOME BACK!!

(2009-03-11)
090311
Today’s front page article of Asahi Newspaper is ‘Colonel Sanders was found’.

When Hanshin Tigers won the Japan tenement in 1985, some Tigers’ fans threw him out into the Dotonbori River.

Since then, Tigers has never won at Japan series.
It was said that it was a cruse of Colonel.

This time, a diver who researched the Dotonbori River found him.
Colonel seems really happy, doesn’t he?

I think Japan is a very peaceful country.
It is because this news is the front page of newspaper.

GOOD-BYE

(2009-03-10)
My co-workers held a farewell party yesterday.
Who’s farewell party?
It was my farewell party!!!

I move to R&D to a Personal group on April 1st.

When I hard this transfer, I was really shocked.
I love my co-workers and I love my jobs.

But some guys who work at the personal group are very pleased at my transfer.
And new boss, I have to name his nick name as soon as possible, said that he was really worried about my feeling, because he knew I loved my division.

I was really appreciated it. Is there any new boss who is worried about new workers’ feeling?

I always think I am the luckiest and happiest person in the world.

I said ‘I am the luckiest and happiest person in the world’, and I want to add one more thing.

People who held my farewell party aren’t my division.
Their section is ‘Clinical Development Department’.
So, we don’t belong to the same section exactly.
Another my co-worker who also transfers to another group wasn’t invited yesterday.

That’s why I want to say ‘I am the luckiest and happiest person in the world’.

After the party, we went to Karaoke.
They played many animation songs because they knew I love animation.
I was really shocked because I could sing almost all of songs. The other guys didn’t know those songs, though.

I have 20-day before I leave my division.
I want to work harder than usual.

HOKUTOSEI

(2009-03-10)
090309
Yoshiko and I had a lunch at Hokutosei in Umeda.
It is the best curry I have ever eaten!!!

The curry which I ate was ‘spicy chicken soup curry’.
There are a big piece of chicken, 1/2 size carrot and many many vegetables in the curry.
It is very spicy but very tasty.
The chicken is really juicy and tender. I feel I can eat its bone.
I feel I am in the heaven.

The appearance of that restaurant isn’t so good. You can see a typical Japanese restaurant. They put some food samples made with wax on the outside. They don’t seem delicious.

Yoshiko found that restaurant. But if she doesn’t recommend it, I will never go to that restaurant.

The other menus seem also very delicious.
So, before I ate the chicken curry, I thought I would try another one next time.
However, after I ate the chicken curry, I decided I definitely would eat the chicken curry one more time.

I always think I want the same size stomach as cow’s.
If so, I can eat a whole menus at Hokutosei…

MANNER CLASS

(2009-03-04)
I went to a manner class last Monday.

On March,28th, we will have a big event in Numazu.
Many people who have been studying ‘manner’will gather at Goyoutei in Numazu and show our daily efforts.

So now we practice for that event.

This time, we learned how to serve Japanese tea.
We set two cups of tea on a tray and serve them to customers.

Our teacher taught us, bowing, walking, sitting etc.

I always think I have no chance to try those lessons in our daily life, but this training is really good for me.
I can use this technique when a customer visits the office.

Unfortunately, I can’t go to Numazu.
But I want to practice it more and more.

SOMETHING WRONG

(2009-03-02)
I wanted to buy soil.

A few months ago, one of my co-workers gave me potted flower.
It is really cute but I wanted to change a pot because that pot was made of plastic.
I had a cute ceramic pot, so I decided to replant it.

However, I needed soil.
First of all, I called the Keihan Department store and asked if they had the soil or not.
Their answer was ‘no’.
Afterwards, I went to the Hankyu Department store because they had a big gardening shop.
But they didn’t have the soil which I wanted to buy either.

Finally, I went to a one-coin shop because I knew they had variety of soils.
They had the soil.

Last night, I replanted that flower.
Is it OK if a one-coin shop has more gardening goods than gardening shop???
I felt something wrong.
