Ito-chan and I visited our mother grave.
Before that, we had lunch close to Tanimachi-9-Chome Station.

Ito-chan said she and our father had had lunch at Soba restaurant around there and it had been really good.

I looked for the restaurant on the internet but we couldn’t find it.

We got off at the station, and looked for the restaurant.
But Ito-chan’s memory was not sure, so we couldn’t find it.
We went to another restaurant.
That was the one which Ito-chan wanted to go to.

It was a Soba restaurant, but they also had Japanese Sake.
We ordered Soba, Tempura and one glass of Sake.

They have many types of Sake and Ito-chan chose one of them.
It was clear like water but had a good flavor.
It was very smooth (I don’t know English speaking people say ‘smooth’ for drink. But It was smooth).

Their tempura was light and crispy.
Of course, their soba was tasty.

I think my mother left a good gift, the good Soba restaurant.

Osaka MariTime Museum

(2010-02-27)
IMG_0071.jpg
Ito-chan came to Japan, so we visited several sightseeing spots.
On 21st February, we visited our mother’s grave, and then we went to ‘Osaka MariTime Museum’.

The museum shows us ships and maritime history.
I have been there with my mother before, but I like this kind of museum, so I went there again.

After passing through the entrance, we walked through a tunnel. Some parts of tunnel is made with glass, so when I looked at a top of tunnel, I could see a lot of fish. NO. I could see only a few fish.
But it was concretely different from seeing fish at an aquarium.

There are four floors, and we went up the fourth floor first.

The fourth floor exhibitions are ‘seaways-history of international maritime exchange’ and ‘maritime art’.
I saw ancient world maps and marine equipments.
I have never been notice about the ancient maps, but they were really interesting.
Now everybody knows the whole shape of earth, but, of course, ancient people didn’t know the earth was it like.
We could also use ancient marine equipments. It was really hard for me to use.
IMG_0072.jpg
On the third floor, they introduced ‘Osaka port and its development’ and development of marine transport and distribution’.
Those exhibitions were also interesting.
There were some staffs there and they were polite.
I saw Osaka map of Edo period, and pictures which drew about Osaka.
Looking at those things was very interesting. I imagined a latest Osaka map and superimposed those maps in my head.
They also showed us a short show which taught us Osaka history.
I don’t know if they are professionals or not but the was interesting.

The second floor was the main floor in this museum.
There is a big ship, Higakikaisen, at the center of this museum.
When this museum opened, this ship was a big new in Osaka.
We looked at this ship and leaned about how to build it.
I always think that ancient people had high techniques.
This ship seemed not only convenient but also beautiful.
It was a good smell of wood.

We enjoyed this museum very much.
I hope more people visit here and touch Japanese culture.

UMEKOMACHI

(2010-02-23)
I am not busy but my stomach is always busy.

My section will have a farewell party and I selected a couple of restaurants.

A few weeks ago, I went to eat lunch there.
I wanted to check their dish and an atmosphere of the restaurant.
The name of the restaurant is Ume-Koji and their speciallity is Ume-Shu.

But of course, I couldn’t drink alcohol for lunch, so I ordered their lunch plate.

Their lunch was a little strange for me.
They served me a really modern dish and ramen. And the dessert was a pudding..

Ummmm.
But their dishes were OK.

Buy the way, they had many beautiful glasses.
If you like glasses, you should visit this restaurant.
Those glasses make Ume-Shu more tasty.

NASUBI

(2010-02-22)
NASUBI (2)

I met Beer-Mama who was my co-worker at Nasubi.
Nasbi is ‘eggplant’ in English.

This restaurant was introduced by Asahi News paper a few years ago.
Since then, I really wanted to visit this restaurant.

One reason was that there was Nasubi near by Keihan Moriguchi Station.
It means it is close to my apartment.
The other reason was that they seemed to have delicious menu.
That’s why I wanted to visit this restaurant.

I could find this restarnt soon.
It was bigger than I thought.
I thought they had only a few seats, but they had a bar, and several tables.

A woman who works at this restaurant was impolite.
I didn’t like her but she didn’t care about it.
Even though, they had good dishes.
I thought their specialty might be ‘eggplants’, but they had fresh seafood.
NASUBI (5)

NASUBI (8)
My favorite one was rolled egg.

NASUBI (10)
But their potpie was also really good.

Beer-mama really likes cooking.
She stared at and tasted them carefully.

NASUBI (9)
We ate grilled amberjack(カンパチ).
I sometimes eat raw amberjack but I haven’t eaten it before.

Its meat was thick and juicy.
I felt lucky because I could eat such a delicious food.

Beer-mama has worked at a pharmaceutical factory.
We talked about our jobs, our families, and our ex-co-workers.

I like her.
Because she is always blight.
We found a good chicken restaurant near Nasubi.

We were planning a next ‘NOMIKAI’ at this chicken restaurant!!

These are the other dishes!!

HORIIGE

I went to HORIIGE to eat dinner with Swimmer.

HORIIGE is a Japanese restaurant.
When I went to a French conversation school, I found this restaurant.
I saw their menu and I became a big fan of this restaurant (even if I haven’t eaten it yet..)

http://www.np-club.com/hoirige/index.html

The restaurant was located on the basement.
The door of the restaurant wasn’t fancy; it seemed like a Japanese apartment door.

When I opened the door, a chef greeted us cheerily.
I was a little surprised because Japanese restaurants’ chefs are sometimes a little temperamental or gentle.
But he was really friendly.
I became to like him soon.

First of all, he explained a system of this restaurant. There was no worker except him, so we had to prepared drinks by ourselves.

The number of the seats was about 20 and seated at the bar.

and almost all of customrs are girls...

SWEETS BOX

(2010-02-18)
There are some Sweets Box at some stations of Keihan Railway.
Sweets Box is a small booth which sells sweets; sometimes they sell Japanese sweets and sometimes they sell European Sweets.
Popular sweets shops are invited and open at Sweets Box for a limited period which is usually for a week.

I like not only eating sweets but also seeing sweets.
So I always check out those sweets shops.
But I try not to buy those sweets.
I know if I buy them once, I definitely will buy a delicious cake every week!!!
It is too bad for my health…

A few weeks ago, I bought a piece of cake at one of Sweets Box, Friand.
One reason is that the shop was invited from Neyagawa and Neyagawa is one of my home grounds.
And another reason is that the prices of cakes were not so expensive.
Lately, the prices of cakes are really high. I can’t buy a piece of cake for 400yen.
But the shop sold the cakes for less than 400yen.
It is a good deal!!!
And it flavor was excellent!!!
It was not so sweet but enough sweet.
It was pounding and smooth..

The other day, I bought another cake at another shop, Melange.
But I prefer Friand.

WHIC ONE DO YOU PREFER???

(2010-02-17)
One of my co-workers has been hospitalized.

Last week, when he got back to his home, he fell down the stairs at the Kitahama Station.
There was no one around there, but a station conductor heard a big noise and he found a guy who fell down.
When he found him, my co-worker was unconscious. The station conductor called 119 quickly.

I heard he was in a ICU.
He can understand what his wife says, but I’m not sure he is OK or not.
I hope he will be getting better and better, and I want to meet him as soon as possible.

MY NEW CAMERA

(2010-02-16)
img56351359.gif
While I was writing about my long trip, I have done several things.

So, I want to report about them.

First of all, I bought a new camera.
As I said, I gave my camera to a river in Avignon, so I had to buy my new camera.

By the way, France people usually don’t use Japanese products.
I mean other countries like to buy Japanese car or Japanese electric stuff, as TOYOYA or Panasonic.
However French people buy their products.
So, I didn’t see Japanese cars or electrical appliances.

But all of the people used Japanese digital cameras.
I think Japanese digital cameras are the best cameras in the world.
French people prove it.

There are a large variety of digital cameras, so it is really hard to choose one camera.

I went to Yodo(ya)bashi camera many times, listened to the explanations, and touched cameras.
Of course, I checked the prices.

And I decided buying ‘RICHO’s’.
RICHO is not popular, but they have high quality products.

I bought it on the internet store because it was cheaper than Yodo(ya)bashi Camera.

Can you expect how cheap it was?

I bought it my new camera for 30 thousands yen.
And Yodo(ya)bashi Camera sold it for 44 thousands yen!!!

I want to buy cameras on the internet and sell them to Yodo(ya)bashi Camera!!!

My new camera is a little heavy, but works very well.
Please enjoy photos which I took by the new camera!!!

A NEW CONTENT-MAO'S GALLERY-

(2010-02-15)
As I always say, I love eating, especially ‘sweets’.
Looking at beautiful sweets is a big fun for me.

My image of sweets is only ‘eating’ and ‘looking’, so I have never thought about cooking sweets by myself.

These are one of my friends daughter ,‘MAO',’s works.
Can you believe such beautiful sweets made by a high school student?

They are beautiful and seem like delicious, aren’t they?

My friend’s, YOBO, sometimes sends me the pictures of MAO’s works, and I show them to my co-workers.
My co-workers always praise them, and of course, they aren’t my works, but I feel really happy…

I will make a new content, ‘MAO’S GALLARY’, and I will be up her works.

再開始,中文

(2010-02-14)
I restarted learning Chinese…

Before I restarted, I considered which school I would go to.

The school, HAO, which I used to go to was a good school, I think, but the school fees are very expensive.

I browsed at the internet and looked for schools and found a good school.

That school was located close to Shinsaibashi Station.

I visited that school and talked about Chinese lesson, Chinese culture, and the policy of that school.
Afterwards, I took a trial lesson.

That school is a very good school.
Teachers are polite and a little strict.
The teachers gave me an intelligible explanation.
And they gave me lots of tips to learning Chinese.
Classmates were cute and friendly…
The school fees are cheaper than HAO’s.

I really dithered.

Both schools are really good.

And finally, I chose HAO even if the school fee was expensive.

One reason is that the school is located near my office.
It is a big point.
And another reason is the level of students.

I joined in one class. I didn’t know which level it was.
The level of students is almost same as mine.
I asked one of them how long she had learned.
She said, ‘About 3 years’.
I was a little surprised.
I have studied only one year.
And our levels are almost same…

I don’t want to study too hard, but I don’t want to waste the time.
So, I chose HOA.

Now I really enjoy learning Chinese.
My teacher is really cute!!

中国語

(2010-02-13)
Just after I returned from France, I started thinking about learning Chinese again.
Before my visit to France, I have studied French.
As I said, I like French people, but I don’t like French teachers.
They are too strict.
I always did too much homework, but they always yelled at me.
I have never enjoyed learning French.

On the other hand, learning Chinese is a big fan for me.
Chinese teachers are very polite and friendly.
And finding difference between Chinese Chinese characters and Japanese Chinese characters is interesting.
Many Japanese cultures were imported from Chinese, but time has changed those cultures.

Of course, I think about the next trip to Taiwan.
If I speak Chinese, my trip to Taiwan will be getting better and better.

Now, I brush up my Chinese.
I have forgotten many words and grammar…
I want to be a specialist of Chinese someday. (???)

FRANCE -11/9- GOOD-BY FRANCE

(2010-02-12)

DSC00537.jpg

DSC00504.jpg

DSC00559.jpgI called it ‘a cab’, but it wasn’t a cab.
It was a pick-up service to the airport, so it was cheaper than a cab.
There was no passenger except me, I felt sorry about it.

The road to the airport was a little crowded but I got there early enough.

The airport of Paris is dark….
I have expected that the airport was modern, so I was a little disappointed.
A guy at a counter was NOT polite.
She seemed she didn’t like her job.

I checked in, bought some souvenirs to my co-workers, and wasted time at a special room for Business Class passengers.
A woman at the VIP room was really friendly and polite.
She has a good smile and beautiful.
Sometimes Japanese people are too polite, so I sometimes can’t feel their humanism, but she gave me a real service.

I got on an air plane.
A cabin attendant was Korean.
She said that her Japanese was not so good and she felt sorry about it.
However, she was very polite and worked hard.
I like her attitude.
The flight was comfortable. I watched movies, played video games, and enjoyed eating.
The Business Class meals were very very delicious.
They used not only first class foods but also first class plate wares.
Using this stuff made me happy, and I felt I was a special person.

Of course, I read some books which I had bought in France.
My heart was still in France.

The Business Class Seat was excellent.

DSC00561.jpg

DSC00564.jpg

DSC00565.jpg

I arrived at Soule. They had a shower booth, so I took a shower. Taking a shower made me refresh.
They had good smell soap, so I felt really happy.
The last flight was only a few hours.
I arrived at Kansai International Airport at 20:50

I was a Business class passenger, so I could leave the airplane soon.
When I passed the immigration booth, my baggage was just coming out.

I called my father, got on a bus, and got back to my apartment.
My long trip has done….
But I still have good and bad memories of this trip.
I don’t think I will take such a long trip anymore, so I keep these memories in my mind, and bring it even if I die.

FRANCE -11/9- THE LAST DESSERT

(2010-02-11)
DSC00536.jpg
I got tired. There were many steep streets there…
So, I took a break at a café.
This was the last ‘dessert’ in France, so I chose the café seriously.
I chose one of them.
A man played the cello at the entrance.
It was romantic.
I took the seat of the outside.
I thought I had become Prisienne.
The outside seats were covered with green leaves.
It wasn’t too cold, so I looked at and enjoyed the views from the café.
This is my last dessert in Paris.
I don’t remember what I ate…
I ate a pudding, a chocolate, a pie, and …etc.
I enjoyed those special sweets and atmosphere.
It was one of the most impressive memories in France.

Afterwards, I looked around this area again, bought a cup and saucer, and got back to the hotel.

A cab picked me up at the hotel.
I said good-by to the hotel owner and left Paris.

FRANCE -11/9- DALI

(2010-02-10)
DSC00502.jpg

I looked around this area again, and visited some famous sight seeing spots.
Montmartre is a really cute town. So, looking around this town was a big fun.

I went to the Dali museum.
I wasn’t interested in Dali but I wanted to go to a restroom.
Just after I bought a ticket, I rushed to the restroom.
And then, I looked at his works.

Do you know his work?
Before I went there, I had no particular image of his works.
His works were fresh but hard to understand.
But after I saw his works, I changed my minds.
I thought I had known only one part of his works.
His works were very interesting and not hard to understand.
He made many cute items, as watches, cups, jewelries, and they are really cute.
I want to buy some of them.
I think he is a great artist.

After I was satisfied with Dali, I looked around Montmartre again.
There were many shops for tourists, so I looked at each shop.

FRANCE -11/9- KECHI-KECHI

(2010-02-09)
DSC00461.jpg
DSC00482.jpg

Afterwards, I went up this temple.
You can go the top of this temple.
There are 300 steps to get the top.
I couldn’t expect if the 300-step was too many or not.
Anyway, I went up.

I sometimes stopped and took pictures.
It was cloudy, so I couldn’t see beautiful views.
But the scenes from the top were really interesting.
I could see cars and people as a miniature.
And I could see the carvings really close to me.
Those carvings seemed like they protected the temple.

I looked around this area afterwards.

At Place du Tertre is very famous. Many artists gather at this area, and ask tourist if the tourist want the artists to draw their pictures.

A couple of artists asked me the same thing. I said no.
So, one of them said to me, ‘kechi-kechi’.
I don’t know who taught him such a terrible Japanese word.

Even if there are too many tourists and too many strange artists, this area is exciting.
I felt like I was a part of Utrillo pictures.

There are many galleries in this area.
I entered one of them because they had many beautiful pictures.
The other galleries’ pictures seemed like pictures for tourists.
But this gallery had their original works.
I found many beautiful pictures.
I talked with a man at the gallery.
He was a painter.
I asked him if he had other job, and he said no.
I was surprised that he made his living by paintings.
He showed me his works. I liked his pictures and I wanted to buy them, but I bought other pictures.
They were expensive for me, but I wanted to buy them for a memory of this trip.

FRANCE -11/9- Basilique de Acre-Coeur

(2010-02-08)
DSC00454.jpg

On the 9th.
It was the last day in France.
I was sad…

I ate breakfast in my room. It was one of the hotel services.
Afterward, I went to ask the owner if they kept my luggage while I was looking around Montmartre.

She was talking to a visitor.
I listened to their talk.
I think the visitor had come to the wrong hotel.

There were two ‘Hotel Ermitage’ in Paris, and the other one was more popular than this one.
When I came here, I showed the driver not only the name of the hotel but also their address.
The customer asked the owner if they could stay at this hotel, but the owner said they didn’t accept a credit card, and then the visitors left the hotel.

I left the hotel and looked around this area.

I stayed in Montmartre.
This area is famous for art.
Many artists lived in this area and dreamed their successes.

First, I visited Basilique de Acre-Coeur.
It is built on a hill, so you can see this temple from every where in Paris.

This temple was started to build in 1876.
They needed about 40 years to build it.
It was built for soldiers and people who died at the Franco-Prussian War and the commune’s civil commotion in Paris.
The ceiling was too high.
You can see the beautiful carvings and pictures.
And I could feel a sacred atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t take pictures; I just looked around this temple.

FRENCE -MY IMPRESSION- HOTEL AND ETC..

(2010-02-07)
DSC00160.jpg

Towns in French are beautiful, too.
There are many statues, greens, and wide streets.
When I visited there, it was a falling leaves season.
So, I saw golden streets. I can not tell you how beautiful they were.
Any buildings seemed to have long histories and people make an effort to preserve those buildings.

As I have already said, foods in France are excellent.
Especially bread.
I will never forget their bread.
It is not only crispy but also soft
And its smell!!
Fresh baked bread is the best food in the world.

I visited some French restaurants in France.
My favorite one is…. Ummm,
I cannot choose the best one.
The restaurants in Avignon, the Rabbit restaurant in Paris, the restaurant in the hotel in Marseille, the last restaurant which I ate in Paris… all restaurants were very good.
I want to visit all of them one more time!!!
One thing I have studied in France is that if you want to go to a good restaurant, you should book advance.

And there are many sweets shop in France!!!
Their sweets are very beautiful, so they please the eye.
Looking at show window was a big fun for me…
Sweets sometimes seem like valuable jewelries.
I still can see the scene of those sweets shops…

Finding a good hotel was really difficult for us.
We didn’t have enough information about it, so we had no idea except browsing at the internet.
My favorite hotels are Ermitage in Paris and l’atelier in Avignon.
Both hotels have long history and the interior decorations are really cute.
Their breakfasts are excellent and the owners are very friendly.

I don’t know why, but many bathrooms don’t have a shower curtain.
So, you have to care about not splashing water.
And a good point of all of the hotels is that they have a brush at the bathroom.
So, if you stain in a toilet, you can clean it up.
It is really convenient.

One surprising thing is that all of hotels prepare high quality toilet paper.
They used soft and beautiful toilet paper.
I like these kinds of service.

I love France.

Only one bad thing is that living prices are higher than Japanese.
When I realized, the inside of my wallet was empty…
If the living cost is cheaper, I definitely live in France.

FRANCE -MY IMPRESSION- PEOPLE

(2010-02-06)
20091026002657(1).jpg
What is your image of French people???
Before I went there, my image wasn’t good.
One reason is that….
I have studied French twice and both teachers were too strict.
They sometimes raised their voices and yelled at me.
So, I didn’t like them.
And another reason is that I heard that French people didn’t speak English even if they could.
I thought they had too much high pride…

But my expectation was wrong.
Almost all of people were very polite.
I like French people.
Of course, almost all of them who touched me had some kinds of business between them and me.
So, they have to be polite.
Even though, I like them.
They gave me a human touch.
It was beyond a wall between our languages and our positions.

I visited several cities in France and characteristics of them were completely different.
People in South are breezy and people in north are a little shy.
I prefer people in south but I like both.
French people aren’t big. The size of their body is the same as Japanese people. And ladies are beautiful.
French children are cute, too. They are quiet, and don’t run around in a train. They have full foreheads. I wanted to touch their foreheads.
Cats and dogs are cute, too. They are quiet and clever. They seemed they loved French people.
I like animals (include people) in France.

FRANCE -MY IMPRESSION- TRAN-

(2010-02-05)
DSC00219.jpg

My travel report has almost done.
Before it finishes, I want to write about several things about France.

Most impressive thing in France is a transportation system.
Before I went there, TGV is greater than Japanese Shinkansen.
But TGV is dirtier, more uncomfortable than Shinkansen.
There isn’t enough space to put my feet on. And the seat size is tighter than Shinkansen.

Most surprising thing is that they don’t have non-reserved-seats.
So, people who missed the train get on the next train without booking.
When I saw the people who were sitting down our seats, I was really surprised.
I thought I made a mistake. But I didn’t make a mistake.
People just took my seat.

Of course, they have good points, too.
They have a baggage space, so we could put our bags in that space.
Shinkansen doesn’t have those spaces.
And as Ito-chan said, a cafeteria was really good, too.
We didn’t buy anything, and I didn’t want to buy anything, but I wanted to try to buy something.

The stations in France aren’t polite.
Almost all of the stations don’t have an escalator or an elevator, so I need a lot of power to carry my big bag.
Any stations aren’t modern, and sometimes really messy.
My impression of the stations is bad.

But the subway in Paris is convenient.
Even if you aren’t clear about the direction of Paris, you can go anywhere in Paris.

The inside of the subway train is dirty, but I got use to…

But the biggest problem is that it is too hard to find the train which I want to get on.

We got on trains many times in France.
And I haven’t been able to find the right train until I left France.
A station sometimes has more than 20 tracks.
Many times they don’t have an information center.
Even if they have an information center, no one stay there.
I wonder how the people in France find the train which they want to get on.
I want to know a tip of getting on the train.

FRANCE -11/8- LE MOULIN DE LA GALETTE

(2010-02-04)
DSC00440.jpg

The atmosphere of this restaurant was good.
It was comfortable.
As I said, I had been there alone, but I didn’t feel out of place.

There were some tables on the outside but no one ate there.
It was really a cold day.

By the way, I bought a red colored suit which my sister made for dinner.
I wore it when Ito-chan, Mike-san, and I ate dinner at rabbit restaurant.
I wanted to ware it one more time, so I wore the suit when I visited ‘Le Moulin de la Galette’.

A waiter brought me to my seat, and showed me a menu.
I couldn’t read it…
Luckily, they also had an English menu.
But… I couldn’t choose what I would eat.
All of them seemed really delicious.
Finally, I decided to order the ‘cook’s special’.

All dishes were beautiful and delicious.
A waiter explained what I ate, but I couldn’t understand what he said.
So, I tasted all dishes carefully and expected what they were made of.
I was really happy to stay there and eat those delicious meals.

I got back to the hotel by taxi again.
He was really polite, and when I gave him a tip, he said thank you several times.

The next day is the last day of France.

FRANCE -11/8- DINNER

(2010-02-03)
When the show was over, the outside was a little dark.
I walked at a brisk trot and headed to the station..

Many passengers were waiting at the station.
I wanted to buy a ticket by a ticket machine but I couldn’t use it well.
Many people were waiting for buying ticket and I also waited.
Luckily, I had enough time to buy the ticket, so I could buy it before the train arrived.

On the train, I saw a really cute kitten.
She had a tiger pattern and was really docile.
I wanted to pet her. But… I couldn’t.
A woman, who was sitting on the next seat, did the crossword puzzle.
I also wasted my time by iPhone.

I got back to the hotel at 7:00P.M.
I asked the hotel man to call a taxi.
I had to go to eat a special dinner!!!

He said that that area was one of the safest places in Paris, but I didn’t want to walk around there at night.
A taxi came soon and drove me to the restaurant.
He went the long way around.
I know the reason why.
The restaurant was too close to the hotel.
I thought he didn’t have to take a long and wrong way.
Even though I would give him enough tip.

Can you believe I ate dinner alone in Paris?
It seemed like really strange.
But I did…

The name of the restaurant was ‘Le Moulin de la Galette’.
Do you know this restaurant?
I didn’t know that but this restaurant was famous for a picture of Renoir.

Their garden was also beautiful.
There were a forest, a fountain, and some statues.
Collaboration between the castle and the garden brought me to the Middle Age.

They had a café, so I wanted to eat something, but I couldn’t find it.
A good smell tormented me…

I left there and headed to the horse place.

I sometimes said the ‘horse place’.
What is the horse place???
I don’t know.
There is a place which has a horse training place, a horse museum, and a track for horse.

When I got there, it was a lunch time, so I had to wait one hour..
And the horse museum had been renovated, so I couldn’t see the horse museum.
I was disappointed.
I considered if I got back to Paris or stayed there.

But I thought I had no plan in Paris, I had to waste 1 hour to get there by train, and I only visited the castle, so I wanted to do one more thing.
I decided to stay there.

Even if they didn’t open the museum, I could see horses.
I looked at each horse. They were really cute..
And I also could see a horse riding.
I could see the differences between each horse.
One horse ran straight, one horse stopped suddenly, one horse ran windingly..
Watching horses was interesting.

Afterwards, I could see the horse show ‘The Princes of Chantilly’.
Before the show, I could see the horse training.
The story is…
Intro…
In the 17th century, the Domain de Chantilly belonged to the Prince de Conde. Sentenced to death under Mazarin for high treason with the Spaniards, Louis II de Bourbon, Prince de Conde, was pardoned in 1659 by his cousin Louis XIV.
The Great Conde, as he was called after his brilliant victory at Rocroi in1643, could now return to Chantilly. But Louis VIV, wary of this former traitor, distanced him from political power.

In fact, I couldn’t understand the story.
But all horses were really clever and cute, so I really enjoyed this show.
The show was about 1 and half hour. But it finished soon.

(2010-02-01)

I had to walk about 30 minutes.
While I was taking pictures, I lost the lady who guided me.

Finally, I saw the Chantilly castle.
It was just my image of castle.
It was made with stones, surrounded by a lake, and I could see a long drive.
But after I saw the castle, I had to walk more 10 minutes.

I bought a ticket at the ticket box.
They had several types of tickets but I couldn’t read it, so I bought the cheapest one and an earphone guide ticket.

I went to the inside and borrowed the earphone guide.
I looked at a brochure and followed it.

The Chantilly Castle was built in 14th to 19th century.
It was used to be own by several families.

The castle has a long history, but its specialty is the collections of arts, so it is called ‘Conde museum.’
They have Delacroix, Corot, Raphaeliten, etc., and any walls are covered with those pictures.
It was amazing.

When I looked around the castle, I hit a wall.
My brochure said there was another room nest to this wall, but I hit the wall.
I didn’t know why, but I went to another way and continued to look at pictures.

I got back to the same room afterwards.
Many people were listening to a guide and the wall was opened.
I understood that if you joined the guided tour, you could go to special rooms.
The guide asked me to come with her.
Of course, I said yes.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t understand her guide because she spoke in French, but I could see the special private room of owner. Their furniture was gorgeous.
