I visited The Museum of Ceramic Art, Hyogo on 14th August.
That was the second visit for me; the first visit was a few years ago to see Wedgewood.
I want to visit that museum anytime, but it is too far from my apartment.
I need more than 2 hours by train.
This time, I went to see ‘Kakiemon & Sanda - The Beauty of Emerging Forms’.
Sanda is the name of area around the museum and Kakiemon is the name of product in Saga, Kyushu.
The exhibit was really interesting.
They showed me not only products but also molds.
So when we see their exhibit, we compare the differences between the products and molds.
Sometimes they have only molds.
It was really interesting and exciting for me to picture in my head the products made by those molds.
By the way, I visited there alone.
At the museum, I asked some questions to an attendant.
We talked about ceramics more than one hour.
I was really satisfied because I don’t have a friend who likes ceramics.
Nabeshima is one of the products in Saga, in Kyushu.
They made for only government of Tokugawa.
She said that’s why Nabeshima was too expensive.
They have some sizes of plates and the expensive one is more than 10,000,000yen!!
But the Nabeshima is very beautiful. It has beautiful colors, beautiful shapes, and delicate pictures.
I was very satisfied.
I felt really happy to meet her.
