....HIKO NYAN...

(2010-10-30)
It is a big boom of Yuru-chara in Japan.

Yuru-chara are mascot characters.
They are not strong and they give us ease.

The most famous character is Hiko-nyan.
He seems not only a cat but also samurai.

The Yuru-chara festival has been held in Hikone.
There was a popularity vote of Yuru-chara.

Hiko-nyan is a mascot character of Hikone Castel, so he had to win!!!

But he lose….

It was upset…

I want to say sorry to Hikone City and the host of the festival…

A REPORT ABOUT YEAR END HOUSECLEANING

(2010-10-29)
As I said, I have already started ‘year-end-housecleaning’.

A couple of days ago, I moved big furniture.
It is about 150 cm height, 120cm wide.
Since I bought the furniture, I have never moved it.

So, it was the first time to clean up around the furniture.

I have known it was dirty.

But it was dirtier than I expected….

It was ….. I cannot explain in English.
No!
I cannot explain even in Japanese.

There was very strange stuff under the furniture.
I don’t know what they were.

I vacuumed and wiped a tatami mat and walls a few times.

And now, it is very clean.
I can eat a steak on the tatami mat.

I have almost done ‘year-end housecleaning'.
One thing that I am really worried is that I have to do year-end housecleaning at the time of end of this year one more time…

YAMATSUJI -2-

(2010-10-28)
These are foods which I ate.
They are very colorful, aren’t they???
When a waitress brought those foods, she explained each vegetable.
But I don’t remember…
I am so sorry…
They foods were really good, but their cheeses were not so good.
I drank white wine made of Delaware.
It was very fruity.
I wanted to buy a bottle of wine.

If you are interested in unpopular vegetables, you should go to Yamatsuji.

YAMATSUJI

(2010-10-27)
R0011802.jpg
I went to eat dinner with my friends.
They work at the laboratory of my company and I meet one of them regularly.

They wanted to eat good vegetables, so I decided going to Yamatsuji.
Swimmer visited there before and he said they had good vegetables.

The shop is separated into two parts.
One part is a vegetable shop and the other part is a restaurant.

When I arrived at the restaurant, it was full of women.
I didn’t think that restaurant was too popular like that, so I was a little surprised.

A few minutes later, my friends came to the restaurant.
We looked at a menu and chose wine and dishes.

NORA-YA

(2010-10-26)
I read Nora-ya.
This story is about the author’s cats.

The first part is about Nora.
Nora means a stray cat.

Nora comes to his house one day, and about one and half years later, he goes to somewhere and never returns.

The author is crying and looking for Nora every day.

This is the first part.

The second part is Kruz.
He comes to his house one day, and about 5 year later, he dies.

This book is not a novel. It seems like a diary.

I enjoyed this book, but on the other hand, I am not sure if it is Ok that a publisher publishes guy’s soliloquies.

AMERICAN COMIC FAIR

(2010-10-25)
IMG_5656.jpg
Lately, I often go to Keihan City Mall.
It is always not crowded.
I always worry about it.

Lately, I bought a dust box, two basket, and etc.
They have cute goods, so I like looking around Keihan City Mall.

They have held ‘American Comic Goods Fair’.
I used to collect American Comic goods, like X-men, so I went to see it.

As I said, Keihan City Mall is not always crowded, but American Comic Fair was crowded.
It was the first time that I saw so many people in Keihan City Mall.

They had Spider Man, X-men, Star Wars, and etc.
I wanted to buy some stuff, but I tried not to buy them.

You can buy Buzz, Woddy and Jack.
They are pretty tall; I think Buzz is 130cm tall.

Jack is 210,000yen, but I don’t know how much Buzz and Woddy are.
If you want to bring them to your home, please talk to a sales person.

HELLOW!!

(2010-10-24)
Hellow!

How are you doing?

I have been very busy lately, so I don't have time to put up blog....

One of my co-workers moved to another department.
Since then, I have lots of things to do at the office.

In addtion to this, I have already started 'year end housecleaning'.
So I don't have time to write blog at home...

Anyway, I am very fine!

Please look at my blog sometimes.

MY NEW FAMILY

(2010-10-18)
R0011800.jpg
He is my new family.
I met him at the Umeda Hankyu Department Store.
A couple of weeks ago, the Hankyu Department Store held British Fair.

I wanted to see some stuff, so I visited there.

The department store was very very crowded.
I couldn’t walk around there.
Some customers lined up to buy cookie or something.
Japanese really like to buy some famous stuff.
They can wait for buying that stuff for more than a few hours.
I sometimes feel it is silly.

The fair has been held on the 11th floor and the 12th floor.
The 12th floor wasn’t crowded.
On the 12th floor, they sold jewels, clothes, and etc.
I looked around on the 12th floor carefully.
And then, I met him, Walter.

When I saw him, he also stared at me.
We fell in love soon.

However, I couldn’t decide buying him soon.
It was because he was really really expensive.
And I didn’t know a fair price of that kind of stuff.

I gave up buying him once, but I changed my mind afterwards.

I asked a store salesperson if they gave me any discounts.
It was the first time to ask about a discount at department store.

Anyway, they gave me a discount and I decided buying him.

Now he is waiting for me on a table.
I am really happy to meet him after work.

I COULD DO IT!

(2010-10-17)
Finally, I’ve done it!
I have finished sewing Jinbei.
I made it very well.
Don’t you think so?
I still have some fabric scraps.
I want to sew something.
If you have a good idea, please let me know!!!

MY BIRTHDAY-3- FROM YOSHIKO

(2010-10-16)
R0011801.jpg
These are birthday presents from Yoshiko.

The caterpillar one is a stationery product.
It keeps memo paper or writing materials.
It is really cute, isn’t it???
It is made of recycle leather.
Lately, everybody works for saving the earth.

The other one is cookies.
This maker was established by the prince of England, Charles.
I cannot believe that the royal family establishes a company.
I cannot imagine that the Japanese royal family establishes a company.
I haven’t eaten it yet, but I’m sure it tastes like a royal family.

MY BIRTHDAY-2-WITH HIRO-3-

(2010-10-15)
We stayed at the restaurant more than three hours.

We worked together for about two years.
When he left my department I was really shocked because I liked him.
At that time, the department that we belonged separated into two departments.
I stayed at the former department and he moved to the new department.
Some of ex-co-workers, for example, Oily-man, moved to the new department.

Why didn’t they bring me to the new department?

I had hard feelings against them…

Luckily, my new boss was Micro-man, so I could continue working.

Hiro said that I was really lucky because my bosses were always good guys.

I agree him.

I think he will be back to my company in a few years.
When he comes back, I want to work with him one more time.

After dinner, we walked to the Umeda Station.

He promised that he would plan my birthday dinner next year.
Before that, we have to go to Tachinomi(stand-up drinking) because he thinks I can drink enough.

MY BIRTHDAY-2-WITH HIRO-2

(2010-10-14)
These are the foods we have eaten.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of bouillabaisse..

The bouillabaisse is not my image..
It was the completely different from the bouillabaisse which I ate in Marseille.
The bouillabaisse was OK, but their cheeses were excellent.

Hiro was really surprised because I drank 4 glasses of wine.
I was not the guy who he knew.

MY BIRTHDAY -2- WITH HIRO-1-

(2010-10-13)
Hiro is one of my former bosses, too.
He takes me to dinner every year.
He is a good guy.

He moved to another company, so I thought he wouldn’t treat me to dinner this year.

But he remembered my birthday!!!
I LIKE HIM!!!

I wanted to eat bouillabaisse, so we went to a French restaurant.
I looked for a restaurant, but there weren't enough restaurants which had bouillabaisse in Osaka.

Anyway, I chose one of them.

‘Olivier Le Francois’ is located in Nakazaki-cho.

After work, we went there on foot.

After he moved to another company, we didn’t have enough time to chat together, so we were talking until we arrived at the restaurant.

I have ordered bouillabaisse in advance, but I didn’t order other meals.

But the meals were brought automatically.

I don’t know why…

My birthday!

(2010-10-12)
Do you know what the day of October 2nd is?
It is my birthday!!!

I don’t know why, but my ex-bosses always remember my birthday!!
I like them.

This is a birthday present from Swimmer!!!
This maker is very famous of chestnut-cake.
In addition to this, it is very expensive.
Thank you! Swimmer!!!

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/25- GO HOME

(2010-10-11)
R0011778.jpg

R0011781.jpg

We got tired, so we visited Unzen Kanko Hotel and took a break.

Unzen Kanko Hotel is one of the sightseeing spots in Unzen.
You can see this hotel on guidebook.

This hotel was built 75years ago for foreign people.
We looked around the hotel and drank coffee.
It was really comfortable.

We took a foot spa, left Unzen, took trains several times, and got back to home.

JR Kyushu has many types of trains, and they are really cool.
On one of them, I bought ‘kakinotane’.
This Kakinotane was in a pet bottle. I thought it was a good idea.

Kiyomi wanted to eat Kyushu-ramen at Hakata Station, but we didn’t have enough time to eat.
We drank some cans of beer or chu-hai.
Since I started to drink, getting on trains is more comfortable for me.

I don’t know where we will go to next year.
I want to meet them forever.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/25-THE GLASS MUSEUME

(2010-10-10)
There is the Glass Museum in Unzen.
I heard they had a good collection, so we visited there.

When we went there, there was no one except us.

There is a souvenir shop on the first floor and there is the Museum on the second floor.

First, we looked around the souvenir shop, and then bought tickets and went to see the museum.

They have not only glasses but also ceramics.
While looking around, we said, “If the Museum gives us one of them, which one do you want?”
I pictured the time if the museum gave me their collections.
It was a big fan for me…

When we got back to the souvenir shop, there were many customers there.
I was really surprised.
I bought a can of straight chocolates because it was inexpensive and delicious.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/25-HELL

(2010-10-09)
R0011764.jpg
After check-out, we went to a hell.
There are many places which are called hell in Japan.
In addition to this, Japanese like to visit hells.

These hells are hot springs.
You can see some towers which are made of steams, and the grounds are like desert.

The hell in Unzen is not so big. So you can look around this hell for about 1 hour.
Looking around the hell was very exciting.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t touch the soil of the hell because of dangerous.
But we could smell sulfur, the air was hot, and the atmosphere was abnormal.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/25-IN THE MORNING

(2010-10-08)
R0011759.jpg

R0011758.jpg
On the 25th.
It was the last day of our trip.

We woke up early and took a bath.
A view from the bathroom was very beautiful.

While the trip, the weather was perfect except in the morning on 23rd.
We could see blue and beautiful sky anytime.

We ate breakfast.
Strangely, Akemi-san and Kiyomi-chan didn’t drink.
I was worried about them because they always drink in the morning when we go to trip.

Afterwards, we checked out and looked around Unzen.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/24-AFTER DINNER-

(2010-10-07)
What do you think about the dinner?
Is it really beautiful, isn’t it??

It seemed really delicious and it was very delicious (except beef).
They used first class cooking ingredients.
The dishes made our stomach satisfied and they were pleasure to the eyes.

My favorite one was a steamed egg hotchpotch.
It was a little Chinese flavor.
All of the meals weren’t so salty and weren’t so sweet.
I mean the taste was perfect.
I think Anybody likes their flavor.

Akemi-san and Kiyomi-chan drank several jugs of beer and I drank a glass of beer and Japanese sake.
I drank ‘Azuma-en’.
It was the hotel recommendation. It was expensive but not so good….

The rice was really delicious.
Can you believe that I have eaten almost all of the dinner?

And afterwards, we drank in our room….

I understand why my weight has be getting heavier and heavier…
R0011760.jpg

It is a garden of the hotel.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/24-THE HOTEL ADUMA EN

(2010-10-05)
R0011756.jpg
This hotel is very beautiful.
The view from our room was also good; we could see a lake.

Before dinner, we went to take a bath.
The color of water was red because of iron.

We had enough time to take a bath, so I washed my hair and body twice.
Of course, taking bath was really comfortable.
I always think I am really happy to be born in Japan when I visit hot springs.

And finally, the most exciting time came!!
Dinner!!

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/24-ON THE BUS

(2010-10-04)
R0011716.jpg
We still had time, so we looked around the China Town again. I bought some souvenirs there.

We got on a bus and headed to Unzen.
Unzen is famous for good hot springs.
We got on the bus for about 2 hours.
However, we were really tired, so we fell asleep just after we got on the bus.
When I realized, we almost arrived at Unzen.

Nagasaki was warm but Unzen was cold. I could see steams of hot springs here and there.

A hotel’s bus was waiting for us at the bus stop.

We stayed at Azuma-en.
It was a very beautiful hotel.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/24-AN OLD CHINA TOWN

(2010-10-03)
R0011718.jpg
There is an old China Town near the China Town.

While Japan closed the country, the town was isolated. This town was surrounded with walls, and people in this town usually didn’t go outside.

After opening Japan country, the walls were broken down, and the Chinese people who lived this area spread to Nagasaki.
It was really pity story.

There are some shrines in this area.
Ancient Chinese people visited those shrines and kept their mind calm.

There are many cats around this area. They were really cute.
If you like cats, you might want to visit this town.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/24-CHINA TOWN

(2010-10-02)
●We bought some bars of kasutera at this shop.
R0011707.jpg

I asked my friends what they wanted to do in Nagasaki, so all of them said they wanted to eat champom.
R0011708.jpg

So, after Glover Garden, we headed to a China Town in Nagasaki.

There are three famous China Towns in Japan, Yokohama, Kobe, and Nagasaki.
If you read my blog often, you probably know I sometimes visit Nagasaki fair at Keihan department store.

There are many Chinese restaurants in the China Town.
We didn’t know which one is the best, so I chose one of them.

Luckily, they had a special menu for a midautumn harvest festival.
The prices were cheaper as usual.
We ordered some champons and some saraudon.
R0011712.jpg

Miya-san couldn’t eat enough because she had eaten breakfast too much.
It was really pity….
I ate saraudon.
It was really good. One thing I was really surprised was that Kiyomi-chan hasn’t eaten thin-noodle-saraudon before.
She was really surprised that the noodles too thin and she really loved it.
She bought many saraudons and sent them to her home.
R0011713.jpg
Afterwards, we visited an old China Town close to the China Town.

TRIP TO KYUSHU-9/24- GLOVER GARDEN

(2010-10-01)
R0011679.jpg
Glover Garden was bigger than my memory.
When I visited there before, I just looked at only one part of the garden, I think.

There are some houses in the garden.
We looked around all houses.
Some of them are big and some of them are small. However, all of them are very cute.
I thought about the castles that I had visited in France.
Of course, the castles are bigger than those houses, but those houses have the same type of interior accessories.

It was a very beautiful day.
We saw a beautiful houses and beautiful Nagasaki Town in Glover Garden.
